Shillelagh are a professional and talented Irish band performing Irish, Scottish and Celtic music at parties, festivals, pubs, ceilidhs and other private and public functions and providing quality wedding reception and corporate entertainment.
We usually play as a trio but can add a bass for a more ragey sound.
Whether it's the fast heady Celtic dance tunes (Remember River Dance?) or the zesty Irish songs you love then this dynamic trio is for you.

The Shillelagh Duo is an economical lineup for background music. We have a very full sound for a duo and have two lead instrumentalists (accordion and banjo) for the tunes and a softer accordian and guitar sound for the songs. We can be acoustic or lightly amplified to suit the environment.



The Music - We play lots of instrumentals and dances (jigs, reels, hornpipes), We sing traditional and modern, Irish and Scottish songs. We do all your old favoutrites like 'Whiskey In The Jar' and 'Dirty Old Town' as well as modern songs by the Waterboys, Pogues, Van Morrison, Proclaimers.
We also play Jazz standards, Bluegrass, a little bit of RnR and soft rock, Medieval & European dance music - so it doesn't have to be full on Irish.
